I’ve taken a hiatus from blogging. It’s not that I didn’t want to blog. It’s not that I’ve had nothing to blog about. (Quite the opposite in fact!) It’s just that time slipped away. It happens to the best and worst of us, right? I discourage people form blogging if they can’t keep up with it. I get irritated when I hop to a blog and see that the last post talks about Halloween party ideas and I’m Christmas shopping. I was starting to turn into that person. I must begin blogging again. I have a lot to say and a lot to share. I’ve made a very long list of things I want to blog about–attending the HighEdWeb Conference in October, starting a new facial cleansing regimen, kicking off a dream of mine: an online literary magazine–and much more. I also plan to consolidate my personal and professional blogs into one; that will help with the blog management. (Thanks to one of my new colleagues, Bryan, for noticing my blog and bugging, er, encouraging me to start up again.) I’ll continue writing about the topics I love: higher ed, social media and creative writing. But, I’ll also work in the randomness that people (OK, maybe a person) loved so much about Daily Dose o’ Donna. (And, if I have something totally cheesy to blog about that does not fit here, I may post to DDD.)
I won’t bore you with the details of why I haven’t blogged. But, actually, it’s not so boring! I’ll work all the exciting things that have been going on since my relocation and (sort of) career change into future blog posts rather than list them as excuses here. You don’t care why I was gone though. You’re just thrilled to have me back!
