As I catch up blogging about this year’s publishing credits, here is one more. I wrote the main feature story for the Times Leader’s 2010 Bride & Groom special pull-out section. The leader publish several of these special tabloid-size publications throughout the year: The Best & the Brightest, 40 Under 40, College Guide and more.
The Bride and Groom issue featured lots of stories and interviews with wedding professionals. My story was Old Vs. New, where I interviewed some nontraditional brides about the changing wedding trends. This was a story right up my alley, so I was thrilled when I was asked to write this piece. I interviewed some great people and learned a lot about how weddings in no way, shape or form have to be stuffy and traditional, even in Northeast PA where tradition runs rampant. A big thanks to the alternative brides I interviewed.
Unlike the regular stories on the Times Leader website which are archived after seven days and viewing them costs $2.95, the special sections are available for viewing. You can read the 2010 Bride & Groom edition, which includes my story on nontraditional weddings, here.
